Sean P Breen
Songwriter, Dramatist, Creator of Musicals, Composer and Arranger of Children’s Music
About
I recently retired from teaching music, a career that I followed for 45 years. During that time I created over 20 original musicals, with 70+ productions. I also composed a number of enthusiastically received choral pieces. Perhaps my favorite accomplishment has been the collection, arranging, and recording of dozens of songs for children.
I am passionate about life-long learning. In 2006 I earned a Masters in Education (emphasis Kodály) from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA. I am particularly proud of the Masters of Education that I earned from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2011, being awarded the Intellectual Contribution/Faculty Tribute as well as being named the Chester Pierce Fellow in the field of Cognitive Neuroscience.
I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, of American parents, and grew up one of 7 children. For the last 41 years, I have lived and worked in San Francisco, CA.
