A colleague of mine, Robert Kerman, heard a number of my choral pieces and asked if I would compose an anthem for his church choir. Rob supplied the text in the form of a poem, You are the One by Herbert Brokering. Not knowing the abilities of the choir, I chose to compose a piece that used an alternating use of 4-part singing with a tone-cluster in the organ. I think it came out really well. Unfortunately, there is no live recording. I was able to synthesize a very nice version using my home studio.
